Cuando llega el dif\u00edcil momento de comunicar un despido<\/span><\/h2>\n

El contexto sanitario y econ\u00f3mico actual ha golpeado gravemente a un sinn\u00famero de industrias en el mundo, y sobre todo en Ecuador; provocando escenarios duros de enfrentar, donde la terminaci\u00f3n de contratos son cada vez m\u00e1s frecuentes y lastimosamente, inevitables.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El despido es una situaci\u00f3n tr\u00e1gica para el empleado (por obvias razones), pero lo es tambi\u00e9n para el empleador, quien debe cargar sobre sus hombros el peso de sus decisiones, sabiendo c\u00f3mo afectar\u00e1 en lo personal a cada una de esas personas a su cargo, y que, en caso de no haber ca\u00eddo ya en bancarrota, tiene la obligaci\u00f3n de preservar la existencia de la empresa y del resto de puestos de trabajo que genera.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pocos se han preparado para esto, por lo que queremos brindarte algunas recomendaciones para comunicar este tipo de noticias de la manera m\u00e1s respetuosa y emp\u00e1tica posible:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00bfQui\u00e9n y c\u00f3mo se deber\u00eda dar la noticia?<\/span><\/h3>\n

El tomador de decisiones (gerente) y mediante una reuni\u00f3n, as\u00ed sea virtual.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Parte de la responsabilidad de la cabeza de la compa\u00f1\u00eda es hacer frente a sus decisiones, se puede realizar una reuni\u00f3n conjunta con el responsable de RRHH o el abogado, como soporte, pero \u201cdar la cara\u201d es mostrar respeto por el otro y genera seguridad en el resto, sobre las acciones a tomar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Por m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil que esto sea, no trates de evadir la situaci\u00f3n enviando una carta o pidiendo al abogado que notifique la decisi\u00f3n, esta persona que ha dedicado tiempo y esfuerzo a la empresa, merece ser tratada con empat\u00eda y consideraci\u00f3n.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo abordar la reuni\u00f3n?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Con sinceridad y de frente, deja de lado el discurso formal.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Si alguna vez fuiste despedido sabr\u00e1s que antes de que \u201cdigan la frase\u201d, ya sab\u00edas lo que estaba sucediendo, as\u00ed que no vale la pena darle muchas vueltas al asunto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Se deber\u00e1 abrir la reuni\u00f3n con algunos datos a la mano que sustenten la decisi\u00f3n e hitos en el historial del empleado sobre los cuales se podr\u00e1 destacar su papel y agradecerle por sus servicios. Debido a la naturaleza de la reuni\u00f3n, aconsejamos no ser demasiado formal, este tipo de reuniones se deben dar entre dos seres humanos, no entre un jefe y un subalterno.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dicho esto se debe pasar a comunicar la terminaci\u00f3n del contrato.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los puntos importantes a mencionar?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Todos los referentes a la ley, ofrecer referencias laborales, protocolo de salida.\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Una vez comunicado el despido es imprescindible que se d\u00e9 a conocer al ex colaborador todos sus derechos legales y c\u00f3mo se van a cumplir, el gerente debe estar muy bien capacitado en este tema; aunque en este punto se podr\u00eda ceder la palabra al asesor legal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Si es oportuno, es un buen momento para ofrecer referencias laborales que ayuden al ex colaborador a reubicarse en otra empresa lo antes posible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finalmente, se deber\u00e1 comunicar de forma concisa cu\u00e1l es el protocolo de salida de la empresa (el mismo debe ajustarse al contexto), aqu\u00ed se mencionan cuestiones sobre entrega de herramientas de trabajo que pertenezcan a la compa\u00f1\u00eda, participaci\u00f3n en chats empresariales, la posibilidad de despedirse de sus compa\u00f1eros por canales oficiales, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 debe pasar despu\u00e9s?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Notificar al resto de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, cumplir con las obligaciones dentro del marco legal, seguir adelante.\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Tras notificar el despido al afectado, es importante comunicarlo al resto de la compa\u00f1\u00eda: esto generar\u00e1 incertidumbre, como m\u00ednimo, pero no hay manera de evitarlo y ser\u00e1 mejor que sea una voz oficial quien de la noticia, antes de que se convierta en un chisme de pasillos (o chats).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
